Cookey Cat Wall Art for Kids was conceived from freshly painted white walls, the imminent arrival of a new baby, and the question of “how should we decorate the nursery?”
As an excited mother-to-be, I scoured baby boutiques and searched the internet for modern wall art for babies and kids. I was looking for gender neutral nursery ideas – artwork that was cute, yet classy, with lots of colour and most importantly, something to make my new baby smile! After a long and futile search, I began to wonder whether the type of nursery décor I was looking for actually existed.
That’s when my husband, an accomplished Melbourne artist, suggested he come up with a series of original artwork that would be perfect for the nursery whether we had a baby girl or baby boy. With a strict brief from his wife, my talented husband lovingly produced three animal paintings – Shelby the Sheep, Leni the Lion and Cookey Cat.
With a new baby in the house, naturally, we were inundated with visitors. The nursery artwork was admired by many, and very soon our friends began asking us to come up with funky baby ideas for their children’s bedrooms. And so the concept for Cookey Cat Wall Art for Kids was born.
Today, we continue to come up with new designs for our canvas art range, as well as produce new wall art concepts. The newest addition to our range is called “Your Li’l Picasso Personalised Frames” which encompasses your child’s artwork, photographed, framed and personalised with wooden letters and embellishments – the perfect way to preserve your child’s treasured masterpiece and turn it into a stunning work of art for their bedroom wall.
Enjoy!
